2010 SAP Golfathon Challenge

Challenging All SAP Americas Employees, Families,
Partners and Clients to Competitive Fun, Team Camaraderie
and Precious new Opportunities to Give-back!

For the seventh year in a row, SAP is proud to sponsor its annual SAP Americas Golfathon Challenge to employees, partners and clients. This year, SAP is also inviting the immediate family of its employees to participate. You play golf any number of times, on your own schedule, on your own golf courses and with whomever you want between Now and October 15, 2010 with all your scores counting towards raising money for charity.

The Process is simple

  1. Click on "SIGN UP" button to get started
  2. Select a charity to play for
  3. Pledge a few cents for each par-or-better hole that you score this year
  4. Encourage family, friends and peers to celebrate your golf successes, sponsor you and pledge a few cents on your behalf by CLICKING HERE
  5. Play golf and enter your scores - as is - into the GolfChamp Databank using the "Add scores" link on this website
  6. The GolfChamp Databank does all the calculations and tracking for you and reports how much you and your sponsors owe on your behalf 24/7. Select "Results"
  7. At end of this year's golfathon, you contribute your total pledge to the local chapter of your selected charity
  8. The charity returns a receipt for your tax purposes.

The SAP Golfathon Challenge is also individual and team competition for prizes, bragging rights, trophies and a personal day with the Pros at the prestigious PGA Village Golf Academy. Click on the "Prizes" link for more details.

To kickstart the fundraising process, SAP is also donating a few cents to the Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania on your behalf, up to a maximum of $25,000, for every par-or-better point scored by all participants.

The 2010 SAP Golfathon Challenge uses the GolfChamp Databank which also tracks and analyzes your golf performances for each hole you play. GolfChamp provides tools to track your performance on tee shots, approach shots, putting and clubs used.

The GolfChamp golf databank service answers such questions as:

  1. How does your game compare to others of similar age and golf ability?
  2. How are you performing on Par 3’s, 4’s, 5’s?
  3. Should your focus be on improving putting, approaches, or tee shots?
  4. What are your strengths?   Areas to Improve? ... and a whole lot more !!
